DECLARING MONDAY, MARCH 9, 1984, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BATANGAS AND IN THE CITY OF LIPA

WHEREAS, the seventy-third birthday of the late Jose P. Laurel, patriot, jurist, and statesman, falls on March 9, 1984; and

WHEREAS, the people of Batangas should be given full opportunity to celebrate his birthday with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagai, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested m me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Monday, March 9, 1964, as a special public holiday in the province of Batangas and in the City of Lipa.
