DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM MARCH 1 TO 7, 1964, AS NATIONAL MARKETING WEEK

WHEREAS, the successful implementation of economic development programs hinges heavily on marketing and the manifold activities encompassed within the marketing field, such as sales, distribution, marketing research, and management and product development;

WHEREAS, there is need to foster application of scientific methods in marketing and to encourage adoption of principles of integrity and ethics which mark professional activities in other fields; and

WHEREAS, the First Asian Marketing Conference during the period affords to member countries the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience in marketing;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from March 1 to 7, 1964, as National Marketing Week. I enjoin all government officials and employees and citizens concerned with marketing to cooperate in making the celebration of the Week a success
