DECLARING MONDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 1964, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ILOCOS SUR

WHEREAS, the ninety-second anniversary of the martyrdom of Father Jose Burgos fails on February 17, 1964; and

WHEREAS, the people of Ilocos Sur, his birthplace, should he afforded full opportunity to observe the event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Monday, February 17, 1964, as a special public holiday in the province of Ilocos Sur.1âшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
