DECLARING FRIDAY, AUGUST 9, 1963, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE

WHEREAS, the ninth day of August is the birthday of the late Governor Roque B. Ablan, an outstanding resistance leader of the occupation; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the people of Ilocos Norte, his birthplace, be given full opportunity to celebrate his birthday;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Friday, August 9, 1963, as a special public holiday in the province of Ilocos Norte.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
