MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ PROCLAMATION NO. 118, June 06, 1963 ] DECLARING WEDNESDAY, JUNE 19, 1963, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY WHEREAS, the one hundred second birthday anniversary of Jose Rizal, our national hero, falls on June 19, 1963; WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the people be given full opportunity to celebrate the day with appropriate ceremonies in keeping with his ideals and teachings; NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Wednesday, June 19, 1963, as a special public holiday.1âшphi1 IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
