REVOKING PROCLAMATION NO. 292, SERIES OF 1951, WHICH RESERVED FOR THE USE OF THE U. S. EMBASSY, CERTAIN PARCELS OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN THE DISTRICT OF MALATE, CITY OF MANILA, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS “PLAZA MILITAR”, AND RESERVING A PORTION OF, THE LAND EMBRACED THEREIN FOR BUILDING SITE PURPOSES OF THE PHILIPPINE CHARITY SWEEPSTAKES OFFICE

By virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, Carlos P. Garcia, President of the Philippines, do hereby revoke Proclamation No. 292, series of 1951, which reserved for the use of the U. S. Embassy certain parcels of the public domain situated in the District of Malate, City of Manila, otherwise known as “Plaza Militar”, and reserve for building site purposes of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office a certain portion of the land embraced therein outside the areas conveyed to the Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation under Republic Act No. 2239 and the “Friends of Roxs, Inc.,” under Republic Act No. 2715, which portion is more particularly described as follows:

“A parcel of land (Lot 101-B-2, proposed reservation for Office building site of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, being a portion of lot 101-B described on plan Csd-5523-D), situated in the District of Malate, City of Manila. Bounded on the NE., along line 1-2, by Calle M. H. del Pilar; on the SE., along line 2-3, by lot 101-B-3 (proposed Calle Militar Ext.); on the SW., along line 3-4, by lot 8, Block 501, Cavite Boulevard Cad.; and on the NW., along line 4-1, by lot 101-B-1 (proposed Calle Herran Ext.). Beginning at a point marked 1 on the attached sketch plan, being N. 29° 08' W., 154.69 meters from F. H. 42, City of Manila, thence S. 25° 29' E., 138.00 meters to point 2; thence S. 66° 15' W., 78.80 meters to point 3; thence N. 26° 08' W., 139.46 meters to point 4; thence N. 67° 14' E., 80.39 meters to the point of beginning; containing an approximate area of 11,030 square meters. Note: All data are approximate and subject to change, based on future surveys.”
