[ Proclamation No. 804, November 20, 1961 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 26 TO DECEMBER 2, 1961, AS SOCIAL WORKERS’ WEEK

WHEREAS, the Government is committed to the promotion of the well-being and economic security of all the people;

WHEREAS, social workers play an important role in the implementation of the aforementioned policy of the State;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Carlos P. Garcia, President of the Philippines, in recognition of the unselfish and humanitarian services rendered by social workers, do hereby declare the period from November 26 to December 2, 1961, as Social Workers’ Week.
