RESERVING A PARCEL OF LAND BELONGING TO THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN ISLA DE BALUT, DISTRICT OF TONDO, CITY OF MANILA, KNOWN AS “SUNOG APOG”, FOR SUBDIVISION AND DISPOSITION IN FAVOR OF THE OCCUPANTS THEREOF

Pursuant to the powers vested in me by law, I, Carlos P. Garcia, President of the Philippines, do hereby reserve for subdivision and disposition in favor of bona fide occupants thereof a parcel of land belonging to the public domain known as “Sunog Apog,” situated in Isla de Balut, District of Tondo, City of Manila, containing an approximate area of thirty-nine thousand aid seventy-one and one-tenth (39,071.1) square meters, and more particularly described in Plan SWE-27603 of the Bureau of Lands. The land herein reserved shall be subdivided by the Director of Lands into convenient sized lots for disposition in accordance with law in favor of said occupants, excluding therefrom such portions as may be needed for the opening of adequate streets and alleys, for construction of drainage works, and other necessary public improvements. The subdivision shall conform with the approved plan prepared by the National Planning Commission. In the disposition of the subdivision lots, the Social-Welfare Administration shall screen and process the applications of bona fide occupants to determine who are deserving and entitled to priority in the acquisition of the same. Should the lots be not sufficient for distribution among the bona fide occupants, the award thereof shall be by raffle, and those who will fail to get lots will be given priority in other government resettlement projects.1aшphi1
