EXTENDING THE 1961 NATIONAL FUND AND EDUCATIONAL DRIVE OF THE PHILIPPINE TUBERCULOSIS SOCIETY, INC. UP TO DECEMBER 31, 1961

WHEREAS, in the interest of tuberculosis control and promotion of the general public health, the Philippine Tuberculosis Society, Inc. was authorized under Proclamation No. 763 dated July 10, 1961, August 19 to September 30, 1961;

WHEREAS, circumstances beyond its control have supervened, making it necessary for the 1961 Anti-TB Fund and Educational Campaign to have more time to carry out its solicitation plans calculated to bring about the full realization of its overall goal P600,000;

WHEREAS, the attainment of this goal is absolutely vital to the Philippine Tuberculosis Society, Inc. in order that its health services to the people and to the nation will not impaired;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CARLOS P. GARCIA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby extend the period of the 1961 Anti-TB National Fund and Educational Campaign up to December.
