DECLARING THURSDAY, MARCH 9, 1961, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BATANGAS AND IN THE CITY OF LIPA

WHEREAS, the seventieth birthday of the late Jose P. Laurel, patriot, jurist and statesman, falls on March 9, 1961;

WHEREAS, the people of Batangas desire that they be given full opportunity to celebrate his birthday with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Carlos P. Garcia, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Thursday, March 9, 1961, as a special public holiday in the province of Batangas and in the City of Lipa.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 8th day of March, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-one, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the fifteenth.
