[ PROCLAMATION NO. 529, August 25, 1958 ]

DECLARING FRIDAY, AUGUST 29, 1958, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN JUAN, PROVINCE OF RIZAL

WHEREAS, the 62nd anniversary of the battle of Pinaglabanan, an important event in our struggle for freedom, falls on August 29, 1958;

WHEREAS, said historical event is of special significance to the residents of the municipality of San Juan, province of Rizal, where it took place; and

WHEREAS, the people of said municipality desire to celebrate the occasion with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CARLOS P. GARCIA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Friday, August 29, 1958, as a. special public holiday in the municipality of San Juan, province of Rizal.1âшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 25th day of August, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-eight, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the thirteenth.
