DECLARING TUESDAY, DECEMBER 31, 1957, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY

WHEREAS, the thirtieth day (Monday) of December, 195, and the first day (Wednesday) of January, 1958, being holidays, the thirty-first day (Tuesday) of December, 1957, may be declared a special public holiday to enable the people to enjoy an uninterrupted Christmas holiday without prejudice to the public interests;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CARLOS P. GARCIA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby proclaim Tuesday, December thirty-first, nineteen hundred and fifty-seven, as a special public holiday.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
