DECLARING SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 1957, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ILOCOS SUR

WHEREAS, the 120th anniversary of the birthday of Father Jose Burgos falls on Saturday, February 9, 1957; and

WHEREAS, the people of Ilocos Sur, his birthplace, desire that they be given full opportunity to celebrate the event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, RAMON MAGSAYSAY, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by section 80 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Saturday, February 9, 1957, as a special public holiday in the province of Ilocos Sur.1âшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 4th day of February, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-seven, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the eleventh.
