DECLARING SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 1957, AS SEEDS FOR DEMOCRACY DAY

WHEREAS, the Seeds for Democracy Program, which is participated in by thirteen civic groups, has been greatly instrumental in strengthening democracy in the rural areas; and

WHEREAS, a Seeds for Democracy Convention, will be held on February 8 and 9, 1957, for the purpose of intensifying the participation of the member civic organizations in the implementation of various community development programs;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, RAMON MAGSAYSAY, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Saturday, February 9, 1957, as Seeds for Democracy Day.
