[ PROCLAMATION NO. 65, April 30, 1948 ]

FURTHER EXTENDING THE PERIOD FOR THE SOLICITATION OF VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTION FOR THE UNITED NATIONS APPEAL FOR CHILDREN.

WHEREAS, the period fixed in Proclamation No. 57, dated February 26, 1948, as extended by Proclamation No, 60, dated March 20, 1948, for the active solicitation of voluntary contribution for the United Nations Appeal for Children has been found inadequate; and

WHEREAS, there is need of further extending the said period in order that the campaign may be made still more effective and successful;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ELPIDIO QUIRINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby further extend up to May 15, 1948, the period within which active solicitation of voluntary contribution for the United Nations Appeal for Children may be made.1âшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
