[ PROCLAMATION NO. 23, March 28, 1947 ]

DECLARING SATURDAY, APRIL 5, 1947, A SPECIAL BANK HOLIDAY

WHEREAS, a petition has been received from the Manila Clearing House Association requesting that the fifth day of April, nineteen hundred and forty-seven, be declared a bank holiday;

WHEREAS, the third day (Holy Thursday) and the fourth day (Good Friday) of April, nineteen hundred and forty-seven, are public holidays, the fifth day (Saturday) of April, nineteen hundred and forty-seven, can be declared a special bank holiday to the great advantage of the banks and no disadvantage will result to the public in general;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, MANUEL ROXAS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby proclaim Saturday, April fifth, nineteen hundred and forty-seven, as a special bank holiday.1âшphi1
