ESTABLISHING DAYLIGHT-SAVING TIME FOR THE PHILIPPINES DURING THE PRESENT EMERGENCY.

Pursuant to the authority vested in me by Commonwealth Act Numbered Ninety-one and in view of the present emergency, I, MANUEL L. QUEZON, President of the Philippines, hereby proclaim daylight-saving time for the Philippines effective December sixteenth, nineteen hundred and forty-one, to continue only until January thirty-first, nineteen hundred and forty-two, and from March first to June thirtieth, nineteen hundred and forty-two, and direct that at twelve o’clock midnight on December fifteenth, nineteen hundred and forty-one, the standard time of the Philippines fixed in the aforesaid Act shall be advanced one hour.

The public in general is hereby enjoined to give effect to the purpose and intent of this Proclamation and of Act Numbered Ninety-one. For purposes of astronomy and meteorology, however, the mean astrological time at one hundred and twenty degrees East longitude, Greenwich Meridian, may be used as heretofore.
