Proclamation No. 339

DECLARING TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 1938, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY

In commemoration of the day on which the Commonwealth of the Philippines was proclaimed and inaugurated, and in order to impress upon our people and especially upon the youth of the land the importance of this historical event in our national life, I, Manuel L. Quezon, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the provisions of section thirty of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Tuesday, November fifteenth, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, as a special public holiday.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Commonwealth of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done at the City of Manila, this twenty-eighth day of October, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the third.
