MALACAÑAN PALACE Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES Proclamation No. 261 ESTABLISHING AS MOUNT DAJO NATIONAL PARK FOR THE BENEFIT AND ENJOYMENT OF THE PEOPLE OF THE PHILIPPINES THE PARCEL OF LAND SITUATED IN THE MUNICIPAL DISTRICTS OF PATIKUL AND TALIPAU, ISLAND OF JOLO, PROVINCE OF SULU. Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Agriculture and Commerce, and pursuant to the provisions of section one of Act Numbered Thirty-nine hundred and fifteen, entitled "An Act providing for the establishment of national parks, declaring such parks as game refuges and for other purposes," I, Manuel L. Quezon, President of the Philippines, hereby reserve for park purposes for the benefit and enjoyment of the people of the Philippines and withdraw from sale, settlement, or other dispositions, subject to private rights, if any there be, the following parcel of the public domain, situated in the municipal districts of Patikul and Talipau, Island of Jolo, Province of Sulu, and described in the Bureau of Forestry map No. N. P.-20 to wit: Beginning at point marked 1, on Bureau of Forestry map No. N. P-20, a B. L. concrete monument, 15 by 60, identical to corner 6 of H. A. 144689 of Pascual Pantoja; thence N. 24° 51’ W., 144.84 meters to corner 2, a B. L. concrete monument, 15 by 60, identical to corner 5 of H. A. 144689 of Pascual Pantoja; thence S. 84° 39’ W., 360.28 meters to corner 3, a B. L. concrete monument, 15 by 60, identical to corner 4 of H. L. concrete monument, 15 by 60, identical to corner 14, of lot No. 980, Mount Dajo cadastre case No. 1; and thence S. 51° 50’ W., 115.50, meters to corner 1, the point of beginning. Corner 1 of this national park us S. 88° 55’ W. 983.52 meters, more or less, from B. L. L. M. No. 15, Mount Dajo cadastre No. 99. Containing an area of approximately 213.3510 hectares. The said parcel of land shall be known as the "Mount Dajo National Park" and shall remain under the administration of the Bureau of Forestry, subject to the general executive control and supervision of the Secretary of Agriculture and Commerce. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Commonwealth of the Philippines to be affixed.
