Proclamation No. 98

EXTENDING THE PERIOD OF SPECIAL SESSION TO OCTOBER 28, 1936

Whereas, by Proclamation Numbered Ninety-five issued October seventeenth, nineteen hundred and thirty-six, the National Assembly was called in special session for period of six days commencing on Monday, October nineteenth, for the purpose of considering and passing such measures as may be submitted to it by the President of the Philippines; and

Whereas, in order to dispose of important and urgent legislation now pending consideration by the National Assembly, it is found necessary to extend the period of said special session;

Now therefore, pursuant to the powers conferred upon me by the Constitution and by existing laws, I, Manuel L. Quezon, President of the Philippines, hereby extend the period of special session of the National Assembly, duly called in Proclamation Numbered Ninety-five, to the twenty-eighth day of October, nineteen hundred and thirty-six.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Commonwealth of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done at the City of Manila, this twenty-fourth day of October, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and thirty-six and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the first.
