Proclamation No. 110

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 30 TO DECEMBER 6, 1936, AS BOYS’ WEEK

Whereas, the proper formation of the character of the youth of the land is one of the important functions of the Government;

Whereas, the Boys’ Week Executive Committee has outlined a program covering every important phase of boys’ life; and

Whereas, the period from the thirtieth of November to the sixth of December, inclusive, is deemed most suitable for the observance of Boys’ Week;

Now, therefore, I, Manuel L. Quezon, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the week from November thirtieth to December sixth, inclusive, nineteen hundred and thirty-six, as Boys’ Week and do hereby enjoin its observance, and call upon all our citizens, and all our public and private entities to lend their full cooperation to the purpose of this week, that it might prove memorable in the life of our boys and of practical value to the welfare of the community.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Commonwealth of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done at the City of Manila, this nineteenth day of November, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and thirty-six, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the second.
