[ Memorandum Order No. 239, October 11, 1994 ]

CREATING AN INTER-AGENCY COMMITTEE TO REVIEW THE AVIATION POLICY GUIDELINES CONTAINED IN THE PRESIDENTIAL MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 138-78, DATED JUNE 1978

To resolve the grievances raised by the Philippine Air Lines (PAL) relative to conduct of the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) in implementing existing aviation policies, there is hereby created an Inter-Agency Committee to review the aviation policy guidelines in the Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 138-78 dated June 1978, composed of the following:

The Secretary of Foreign Affairs, as Chairman;

The Secretary of Transportation and Communications, as Co-Chairman;

Representative from the Department of Tourism, as Member;

Representative from the Civil Aeronautics Board, as Member; and

Representative from the Philippine Air Lines, as Observer.

The Committee shall convene immediately to study and review the existing aviation policy guidelines and submit its recommendations within sixty (60) days from the date of this Order to the Office of the President.

The Committee is hereby authorized to call on any department, bureau, or agency of the government including government-owned or controlled corporation, for assistance as it may need in the accomplishment of its task.ℒαwρhi৷

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
