[ Memorandum Order No. 206, April 27, 1994 ]

ENJOINING ALL DEPARTMENTS, BUREAUS, OFFICES, AGENCIES INCLUDING GOVERNMENT-OWNED AND CONTROLLED CORPORATIONS TO SUPPORT THE KABATAAN : 2000

Pursuant to Executive Order No. 139, all departments, bureaus, offices, and agencies, including government-owned and controlled corporations, are hereby enjoined to support the KABATAAN: 2000.

For this purpose, the government agencies, local government units, and the GOCCs, which shall implement the different program components of KABATAAN : 2000, are hereby authorized to pay the youth participants a stipend of not more than 75% of the applicable prevailing government minimum wage as may be allowed by the law and subject to existing accounting and auditing rules and regulations to secure the necessary funds therefor from their respective maintenance and operating expenses or savings from personal services.

The Department of Tourism (DOT) is hereby authorized to utilize its Duty Free Earnings for the implementation of programs in connection with the KABATAAN : 2000, subject to existing accounting and auditing rules and regulations.1aшphi1

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
