[ Memorandum Order No. 79, January 13, 1993 ]

TRANSFERRING THE FUNCTIONS, PERSONNEL, RECORDS, ASSETS AND REMAINING BUDGET AND FUNDS OF THE PRESIDENTIAL TASK FORCE ON BASES CONVERSION (FORMERLY SPECIAL OPERATIONS TEAM) TO THE BASES CONVERSION DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

WHEREAS, the Presidential Task Force on Bases Conversion, formerly the Special Operations Team, ceased to exist on December 31, 1992 pursuant to Administrative Order No. 12 (1992);

AND WHEREAS, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) had been created under Republic Act No. 7227 (1992) to accelerate the conversion of military reservations into other productive uses;

IN VIEW HEREOF, it is hereby directed that the functions, personnel, records, assets and remaining budget and funds of the Presidential Task Force on Bases Conversion, formerly the Special Operations Team, be transferred to the Bases Conversion Development Authority subject to the pertinent accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

The Chairman of the BCDA is hereby authorized to adopt the necessary implementing guidelines to achieve the objectives of this Memorandum Order.ℒαwρhi৷

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
