To avail of the present momentum of new investments, trade and economic cooperation from other countries, there is hereby created a Committee on the Philippine Self-Reliant Defense Posture composed of the following:EDELMIRO A. AMANTE, SR.

Secretary of National Defense	Chairman
Secretary of the Interior and Local Government	Member
Secretary of Trade & Industry Secretary of Science and Technology Secretary of Finance Director General, National Economic & Development Authority	“

to review the self-reliant defense posture and the defense industry programs of the country.

A Technical Working Group, composed of the designated representatives of the aforesaid Secretaries/Heads of the departments/agencies is also hereby created. It shall assist the Committee and shall be tasked to prepare and submit a study/recommendation for the aforesaid purpose to the Committee, which shall review the same and submit to the President a final report of the study with recommendations and drafts of the implementing issuances, as may be necessary, as soon as practicable.

In the performance of its functions, the Committee may seek the assistance of both the public and private sectors.1aшphi1
