 Memorandum Order No. 121, April 23, 1993 ]

AUTHORIZING THE CONDUCT OF A VALUE ORIENTATION WORKSHOP (VOW) FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT

Public service is a public trust. It has always been better said than done. There are doubts as to how the public servants can gain the confidence and trust of the public when values expected of the former have been dripping down or are hardly visible as they carry out their functions.

There is therefore a need to re-define and re-clarify the values of the employees, relate them with the values expected of them in the Civil Service and in the society in a process which will ultimately lead to their full development as dedicated and responsible citizens.

In this connection, the Training Staff, in coordination with the Civil Service Commission, is conducting a Value Orientation Workshop for employees occupying second level positions in this Office from May 3 to 7, 1993, Monday through Friday at 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Briefing Room, 4th Floor of the Administration Building. Each office/unit is hereby enjoined to send at least two (2) participants and submit their names to the Personnel Office not later than April 30, 1993. Participants are to be detached from their official functions for the duration of the course.1aшphi1
