[ Memorandum Order No. 106, March 20, 1993 ]

ENJOINING ALL THE DEPARTMENTS, BUREAUS, OFFICES, AND AGENCIES INCLUDING LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS AND GOVERNMENT-OWNED AND CONTROLLED CORPORATIONS TO SUPPORT THE PRESIDENT’S 1993 SUMMER YOUTH WORK PROGRAM (PSYWP)

Pursuant to Executive Order (E.O.) No. 395 as amended by E.O. No. 70 dated 20 March 1993 all the departments, bureaus, offices and agencies including government-owned and controlled corporations are hereby enjoined to support the 1993 President’s Summer Youth Work Program (PSYWP).ℒαwρhi৷

For this purpose, the government agencies and GOCCs which shall implement the Program are hereby authorized to pay the youth participants a stipend or any form of financial assistance of not more than 75% of the government minimum wage as may be allowed by law and subject to existing accounting and auditing rules and regulations, and to secure the necessary funds therefor from their respective maintenance and operating expenses or savings from personal services.

The Department of Tourism (DOT) is hereby authorized to utilize its Duty Free Earnings for the implementation of programs in connection with the PSYWP, subject to existing accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
