CREATING A NATIONAL COMMITTEE TO TAKE CHARGE OF STATE AND OFFICIAL VISITS TO THE PHILIPPINES

There is hereby created a National Committee to take charge of arrangements for state and official visits to the Philippines by heads of state and heads of government invited by the President of the Republic of the Philippines, as follows:

The Committee shall be responsible for the planning, coordination and smooth execution of all arrangements to be made in connection with the state or official visits.

The Committee is authorized to call upon any Department, Bureau, Office, Agency or instrumentality of the Government, including Government-owned or controlled corporations for such assistance as it may need in discharging its duties and functions. The Committee is likewise authorized to create sub-committees as necessary.

This Memorandum Order takes effect immediately and supersedes Memorandum Order No. 101 dated 8 March 1993 creating a National Committee for the 24-27 March 1993 official visit of the Thai Prime Minister.
