[ Memorandum Order No. 820, March 28, 1985 ]

REQUIRING THE DESIGNATION OF A PROPERTY CUSTODIAN IN EACH OFFICE OR PRIMARY UNIT IN THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT (PROPER).

For a better, efficient and effective management of the allocation and use of our supplies and equipment, each office or primary unit is hereby required to designate a property custodian to take charge of the following functions:

1. Determine the actual monthly requirements for supplies of the unit and maintain a running balance of all supplies received before requisition is made;

2. Inspect and check carefully all supplies and equipment delivered;

3. Prepare an inventory of all supplies, property and equipment, indicating both quantity and value independent from the inventory of the Property and procurement Division of the Finance Office copy furnished the Property and Finance Office;

4. Sign for all equipment requisitioned by and allocated to his or her unit and then require the end-users to sign memorandum receipt which he or she will keep on file, copy furnished the Property and procurement Division.

5. The respective property custodian shall be accountable for all loses of supplies and equipments charged to their respective offices and staff.1aшphi1

This Order takes effect immediately.
