[ ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 70, June 22, 1938 ]

CREATING THE MANILA BEAUTIFUL COMMITTEE

For the purpose of beautifying the City of Manila, there is hereby created and constituted a committee to be known as the Manila Beautiful Committee, which shall meet at the call of the Chairman and which shall be composed of the following members:

Hon. Juan Posadas, Chairman

Dr. José Fabella, Member

Mr. Vicente Fragante, Member

Mr. Florencio Tamesis, Member

Dr. Eduardo Quisumbing, Member

Mr. Andres Luna de San Pedro, Member

Mr. Colin Hoskins, Member

The Committee shall labor to increase the cleanliness and attractiveness of the City of Manila and its environs, to promote the planting of flowers and ornamental trees and shrubbery, to develop parks and areas for recreation and to beautify the city generally. It shall from time to time submit its recommendations to the President of the Philippines.

Executive Order No. 442, issued on September 5, 1933, is hereby revoked.1a⍵⍴h!1

Done at the City of Manila, this 22nd day of June, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the third.
