[ ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 62, March 02, 1938 ]

REQUIRING THAT ADDITIONAL LABORERS TO BE EMPLOYED IN ANY WORK TO BE UNDERTAKEN BY ANY BUREAU, OFFICE, SUBDIVISION, BRANCH OR DEPENDENCY OF THE COMMONWEALTH GOVERNMENT BE TAKEN FROM THOSE REGISTERED WITH THE NATIONAL RELIEF ADMINISTRATION

For the purpose of coördinating the efforts of the National Relief Administration with those of the other branches or subdivisions of the Government with a view to reducing unemployment and to aiding those who are in distress on account of unavoidable unemployment, it is hereby ordered that whenever any bureau, office, subdivision, branch or dependency of the Commonwealth Government undertakes any work and needs additional laborers for the purpose, aside from its permanent employees or regularly employed laborers, such additional laborers shall be secured from those registered with the National Relief Administration or through its branches or agencies established in the provinces, chartered cities and municipalities.
