| Jurisdiction: | To conduct a comprehensive study and review of the programs and policies relating to the social reform agenda of the government for the twenty (20) depressed provinces of the country, and to recommend to the House legislation or other actions necessary for accelerating the pace of the development of these provinces. The following are the said twenty (20) depressed provinces: Abra, Agusan del Sur, Antique, Apayao, Aurora, Basilan, batanes, Benguet, Biliran, Eastern Samar, Guinmaras, Ifugao, Kalinga, Masbate, Mountain Province, Romblon, Southern Leyte, Sulu, Surigao del Sur and Tawi-tawi. | |
